It was a dark and stormy night in the small town of Everland. The wind howled through the trees, and the thunder seemed to shake the foundations of the ground.

Alice had been living in Everland for as long as she could remember. She had grown up here, gone to school here, and had seen the town change over the years. But tonight, something was different.

Alice felt an uneasiness in the air, as if something was lurking in the shadows. She couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched.

Alice decided to take a walk around town, hoping the fresh air would help her relax. But as she walked, she could feel a presence following her. She started to run, but the feeling only seemed to get stronger.

Finally, Alice reached the edge of town. She stopped and looked around, trying to figure out what was chasing her. Then, she saw it.

Standing in the shadows, was a tall figure with glowing red eyes. Alice froze in terror as the figure slowly stepped forward, revealing itself to be a monstrous creature.

Alice screamed and ran, but the creature was too fast. Just as it was about to grab her, a loud noise echoed through the night.

Alice opened her eyes to find herself in her bed. It had all been a dream. She looked around the room, relieved to find that it was all just a nightmare.

But then, she noticed something on the floor. It was a small figure with glowing red eyes. Alice picked it up and realized that it was a toy she had been playing with before she fell asleep.

Alice smiled in relief as she hugged the toy close. Even though it had been a dark nightmare, it had a surprisingly happy ending.
